Cristian Zorzi

Cristian Zorzi (born August 14, 1972, Cavalese, province of Trento) is an Italian cross country skier who excels at sprint ski races. He is nicknamed Zorro, for his exuberant character.

Cristain's first major success was at the 2000 Cross Country Skiing World Cup, where he finished in second place. He won the silver medal in the 1500 meters sprint, at the 2001 Nordic skiing World Championships, in Lahti, Finland. In the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, he won the bronze medal in the 4 x 10 km sprint, as part of the Italian relay team.

In the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, he was the anchor on the Italian sprint relay team, and led the team to gold in the 4 x 10 km.
