About the Ski Resort
Mt. Eyak has been run by the local ski club for more than 30 years and is located 80 miles southeast of Valdez. Operating hours are Wednesdays, weekends and holidays. They welcome all snowboarders, skiers and snowshoers. All rental equipment is available, including snow shoes. They also feature two miles of groomed trials for cross-country skiing. With the purchase of lift ticket and rental equipment, all private, single and group lessons are free. Also when you stop for a snack, keep in mind you can take a break from skiing by playing basketball or using their weight room.
