About the Ski resort

Montecito-Sequoia is located within the spectacular Sequoia-Kings Canyon Nat'l Park area at 7,500 ft. on it's own Lake Homavalo near the Giant Sequoia Trees. The resort offers a variety of Family Programs and has received several awards as being one of the "Top 10" places in the United States for families to travel with their children. We are a Family Vacation Camp in the Summer and a Cross Country Ski and Winter Sports Center in the winter. Our capacity is 48 families or around 150 to 170 persons. In 2003 we were selected as the #2 Cross Country Ski Area in the USA and Best in the West” by an independent survey. One of our highest ratings was on the quality of our staff.
We seek staff who enjoy the out-of-doors and are enthusiastic “people persons” who enjoy mixing and mingling with the guests and working with adults as well as children. We hire specific staff as instructors for activities in the various seasons. Our goal is to provide a “get away from your problems” experience for our guests, and lots of fun, activities, and excitement for family members of all ages - Tots to Seniors. It’s similar, less commercial and more family oriented than Club Med. We offer a casual informal atmosphere of “being at home in mountains”. We have two large downstairs gathering rooms, each with their own huge stone fireplaces surrounded with sink-in leather furniture, where all the guests love to gather. We have no waiters or waitresses, and guests can help themselves to drinks and snacks 24 hours - just like home. In the winter we have a total of around 33 staff with over 20 winter sports and activities, and in the summer we have 75 staff with over 35 activities for all ages.
