About the Ski resort
|
|
Latigo Ranch is secluded and small (35 guests). The cross-country ski area is located about 9,000 feet above sea level in an environment of vast, heavy pine and spruce forest, aspen, sagebrush, huge high meadows, streams and beaver ponds. Their riding, hiking and vistas are spectacular indeed. There are 30 miles of machine-groomed track, covering varied terrain from flat beginning track to challenging advanced. All of the track is groomed for both classic and skating techniques. For backcountry or telemark skiers, they are surrounded by over 200 square miles of deep powder in the National Forest. To enhance your guest experience, skiing and other recreational activities are often conducted on part of thousands of acres under special use permit to Latigo in the Routt and Arapaho National Forests. Latigo Ranch guests who have skied all over Colorado proclaim that Latigo offers some of the finest cross-country skiing available in Colorado.
