The Snow Bowl on 1,300' Ragged Mountain is just a short drive from picturesque Camden harbor. Nowhere else in the East can you glide down challenging ski slopes while enjoying a thrilling ocean vista unknown to other Eastern slopes.
New Hermon Mountain ski area is located near the Maine coast in upper Penobscot Bay, on Route 1 about 10 miles west of Bangor. Take I-95 to Exit 43. Turn right at the top of the ramp and go until the first road on the right. This is called Hinckley Hill Road. Turn right onto this road and go until the road ends at a T intersection. There you go left. The road is called Newburg Road. A short distance later you will see the Hermon Mountain Ski Area on the left.
Hinckley Hill Road is fairly steep just before you reach the stop sign at the T intersection. If the roads are slippery be sure to go VERY SLOWLY before the stop sign or you might find yourself skidding across the intersection.
