Ski Butternut is located on the northern slopes of East Mountain State Forest near the village of Great Barrington.

Butternut's lifts, trails and base facilities complement a beautiful, natural setting of evergreen and hardwood forests.

Butternut is located two miles east of Great Barrington, Mass., on Route 23. From New York, take the Taconic State Parkway north to Claverack/Route 23 exit; Route 23 east. From Albany, take I-90 east to Exit B3; Route 102 to West Stockbridge; Route 41 south to Route 23 east.
