About the Ski Resort
Catamount is a classic northeastern ski area. While it may lack in size when compared to some of the nearby behemoths, Catamount is a true gem for cruising. Wide open boulevards are perfect for beginners and intermediates alike while the steep Catapult features one of the nastiest pitches in the area. The resort's snowmaking arsenal covers 96% of its terrain so skiers and riders are sure to find the slopes covered even when Mother Nature comes up short.
Catamount Ski Area is located on Route 23 between Hillsdale, N.Y., and South Egremont, Mass. The ski area sits right on the New York and Massachusetts border, with skiing terrain on both the Berkshire Mountains and the Taconic Range. Ridge Run, along with a number of Catamount's trails, wanders from New York State to Massachusetts and back again, a feature that is unique to this ski area.
