About the Ski Resort

The Mount McSauba recreation area features huge, rolling sand dunes that slope down to the Lake Michigan shoreline. This is a primitive natural area with no lifeguards or other facilities. Behind the dunes is a series of well-kept trails through a beautiful canopied wooded area. Mount McSauba offers excellent family skiing and is only about a half-mile from town.

Cherry Capital Airport near Traverse City is 52 miles from the ski area, or just over an hour by car. From the airport, drive NE on US 31 for 3 miles, then continue E on US 31 for 7 miles to the city of Acme, MI, stay on US 31 and drive N for 43 miles to the City of Charlevoix, then follow signs to the ski area.
