  About the Ski resort 


Nestled deep within the St. Croix River Valley, just an hour north of the Twin Cities, Wild Mountain is a beautiful wooded area for skiing and snowboarding--7 days and 7 nights a week.

With 25 runs and a variety of terrain from beginner to advanced, Wild Mountain is the perfect place for all types of snowsports enthusiasts. In addition they have an awesome terrain park, mini terrain park, half-pipe, as well the brand new Wild Chutes Snowtubing Area.

They also offer four 4 quad lifts, a proficient snowsports school, and one of the largest snowmaking and grooming fleets in the Midwest. It is always a white winter at Wild Mountain!

  Directions 


From the Twin Cities: Take either 35W or 35E north to the Highway 8 exit (just past Forest Lake). Take Highway 8 east until you arrive at Taylors Falls (about 22 miles). Turn left at the stop light (its the only one in town) go 5 blocks to County Road 16. Its only 5 more miles to Wild Mountain!

From Duluth/Superior: Follow 35 South to the North Branch or Hwy 95 exit, take a left or go north. Follow Hwy 95 approximately 15 miles to Cty Rd. 12 in Almelund. Take a left on Cty Rd. 12 - go 4 blocks through the main street of Almelund, take a right on Cty Rd. 16. Follow 16, 5 miles south and you will see Wild Mountain on your right hand side.
