About the Ski Resort
Perfectly placed in the Sacramento Mountains of New Mexico is one of the southernmost ski areas in the United States, Ski Cloudcroft, located just outside of picturesque Cloudcroft, New Mexico. Located high above the Tularosa Valley in the Lincoln National Forest, Ski Cloudcroft is set on almost 70 acres of pristine wilderness, crisscrossed by 21 trails for skiers of every level. For those wanting to enjoy the snow but not ski or snowboard, there is a tubing hill with its own lift right at the base of the ski area. Ski Cloudcroft offers night skiing, something no other ski resort in New Mexico has. Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings the slopes are lit from 6 to 10 PM for skiing under the blazing stars of southern New Mexico. Ski Cloudcroft is not a big area; it has a double chair lift and one rope tow, but the lift lines are minuscule. You will be whisked up to the top of the mountain and can wind back and forth down the beautiful cruiser trails or the challenging steeps and get in just as many skiable hours as at any of New Mexico's larger resorts.
