About the Ski Resort

Spicy Run opened for business in January, 1997 -- the first new ski area in the USA since 1991. With a 2,800' long double chairlift rising just over 600 vertical feet, Spicy Run is twice as tall as any other ski area in Ohio. The 30+ acre interlocking trail network sweeps through a mature hardwood forest nestled by Spicy Run Creek.

Spicy Run Mountain is located is south central Ohio, in the heart of the state's Appalachian region. They opened for business in January, 1997, and is the first new ski area in the USA since 1991. Their 2,800-foot long double chair lift rises just over 600 vertical feet, which makes Spicy Run twice as tall as any other ski area in Ohio. Their 35-plus acre interlocking trail network sweeps, rolls and plunges through a beautiful mature hardwood forest nestled by Spicy Run Creek. They've got the longest cruising trail (free flow), the two steepest double blacks (top gun and Got Chili Powder), and the "phattest" snowboard park (Rip City) that you can find anywhere in Ohio, Indiana or Kentucky.

Spicy Run Mountain ski area is located in south central Ohio, in the heart of the state's Appalachian region.

From Cincinnati, take Route 32 east 10 miles beyond Peebles. Turn left onto Union Hill Road and follow for 2.3 miles. At stop turn right on Grassy Fork Rd. For .3 miles. Turn right on Beavers Ridge Road for 6.6 miles, then left on Woods Road for .2 miles. Turn left into the resort.

From Columbus, take Route 23 south past Chillicothe to Waverly, then Route 220 and Route 124 west to Idaho. Turn left on Beavers Ridge Road for 5.1 miles, then right onto Woods Rd.
