About the Ski Resort
Mt. Bailey is located in the Umpqua National Forest. With 2 snowcats, the resort has capacity for 27 skiers/snowboarders per day (5 to 7 runs). Cat Ski Mount Bailey welcomes snowboards. Boarders are advised to carry ski poles -- there is a catch line where poles are a great help to get across.
Mount Bailey Snow Cat Skiing has had a change of management and along with that a new name and website. We are now managed by Diamond Lake Resort and are called Cat Ski Mount Bailey.
Cat Ski Mount Bailey transports 27 skiers/snowboarders per day to between 15,000 and 20,000 vertical feet per day of deep powder adventure. Untracked powder beckons you to carve first tracks from the 8,363 Ft. summit of Mt. Bailey to the depths of the "North Wall." Similar to the thrill of heli-skiing, but with the added ability to travel regardless of weather, Cat Ski Mount Bailey guides lead 27 skiers/snowboarders each day to the ultimate adventure. Advance reservations are required.
Most people who were familiar with the previous operation will be really happy with some of the changes that we've made....including a brand-new bombardier snowcat with a custom 12 passenger cab, new Salomon Pocket Rocket powder skis available for guests, new avalanche transceivers, van, package deals, etc. etc......basically everything is brand new! What hasn't changed are the guides, the impeccable safety record, the 6000 acres of terrain, and the epic snowpack.
