About the Ski Resort
Anthony Lakes Mountain Resort is located in the majestic Elkhorn Range of the Blue Mountains in the northeast corner of the state of Oregon.
At a 7,100-foot base elevation, the highest in the state, it is a powder paradise. With 21 trails and 300 skiable acres, Anthony Lakes offers a nice mix of runs for every level of skier.
Beginners are served by the Poma lift, while intermediate and advanced skiers are whisked to the top where they can find plenty of steeps off the triple chair.
As you ride the lift to the top of the mountain, everywhere you look you will see breathtaking scenery -- the massive peaks of the Elkhorn and Eagle Cap mountains, high granite bluffs and miles of untouched wilderness covered with giant snow-laced pines.
Snowboarders are welcome on all trails and also have their very own snow park.
Groups who seek a more robust backcountry experience and the challenge of snowcat skiing can cut tracks down 1,600 feet of pristine champagne powder into the remote Crawfish Basin located on the south side of the mountain.
Anthony Lakes is also home to 13 kilometers of groomed cross-country track bordering the John Day Wilderness Area.
Snowmobilers will find hundreds of miles of groomed trails accessible from the area.
The recently enlarged day lodge offers a great view of the mountain. Facilities include ski school, downhill, cross-country and snowboard rentals, repairs, cafe, lounge and retail shop.
