About the Ski resort
|
|
Snow machines keep this resort's trails open for downhill skiing, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing and sledding. Cross country skiing is available on 4 to 5 miles of trails on the golf course and is available weather permitting. Guests only are allowed to use the sledding hill, which is also part of the snowmaking system and is groomed. Sleds are provided free. Snowboarding is available, and snowmobiling has its own groomed course next to the ski area.

Wilkes-Barre Scranton International Airport is located 69 miles from Fernwood Mountain Resort, or a little more than an hour by car. From the airport, drive N on I-81 for 11 miles, then proceed E for 4 miles on I-380/84, stay on I-380 and continue E for 25 miles to I-80 and drive E for 17 miles, get on US 209 and drive N for 12 miles to the City of Bushkill, then look for the access road to the ski area, which is 1 mile SW.
